CR-V vs. HR-V Features & Safety
Although the CR-V has a size advantage, both SUVs boast similar standard features. For instance, on the baseline LX trims of the CR-V and HR-V, you'll have a 9-inch central touchscreen, a four-speaker sound system, wireless Apple Carplay® and Android Auto™, and a wireless phone charger. Both also come with Honda Sensing Driver-Assistance Technologies, a suite of sensors designed to keep you safe on the road. That includes Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Driver Attention Monitor.
The HR-V offers three trims to choose from – LC, Sport, and EX-L. The Sport adds safety features (such as the Blind Spot Information System) and a few cabin upgrades to emphasize the "sport" aspect of Sport Utility Vehicle (such as the leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob). The EX-L further enhances your experience with features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, an automatic-dimming rearview mirror, leather-trimmed seats, and a one-touch moonroof.
However, the CR-V has seven trims, including hybrid options – LX, EX, Sport Hybrid, EX-L, TrailSport Hybrid, Sport-L Hybrid, and Sport Touring Hybrid. Similar to the HR-V, each step up in trim adds more premium features and technology. Exclusive options on higher trims include a power tailgate with programmable height, active sound control, Rain-Sensing Wipers, ambient lighting, and a 10-way power-adjustment driver's seat with lumbar support.
